Design-Build
We specialize in providing Design/Build services. IBS has an array of on staff Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Process and Systems Engineers as required. Our in house engineering staff is able to assess your needs, develop a feasible solution/design and work with our team of construction Project Managers to economically deliver a completed project.
IBS has completed numerous Design/Build projects in various markets in not only the Chicagoland area but throughout the country as well. IBS excels in and is unmatched in our ability to deliver top notch Critical Environmental projects for our clients. Our unwavering commitment to continual development of our design methodology and overall delivery process has allowed IBS to be recognized as the premier Laser Laboratory specialist in the country.
Not only does IBS handle projects requiring such extreme precision and high levels of detail, we tackle the everyday issues that arise for all of our clients as well.
Sheet Metal Contractors
IBS is a leader in the Chicagoland HVAC/sheet metal industry. We specialize in the restoration and modernization of HVAC systems in existing buildings without disturbing the daily operation of the business. In addition to our well-known mechanical capabilities, IBS performs welding and custom/specialty fabrication and installation of polished stainless steel, aluminum, and bronze, among many other detailed specialty projects. Our full service shop can fabricate metal ductwork of unlimited size and configuration.
IBS welcomes the opportunity to challenge and showcase our intricate specialty design and quality workmanship capabilities. We perform difficult and specialty work beyond traditional HVAC installations.

UPS Systems
An uninterruptible power supply or a UPS is a system that protects data centers and equipment from temporary power outages and power surges. UPS systems contain a battery backup system that stores incoming AC power for use when your electric power supply falters. Your equipment can then run off of DC power for a short time. Once the power comes back on, the batteries are recharged. Industrial UPS systems protect your servers, computers and other IT equipment from inconsistent voltage that can damage your equipment or cause it to malfunction.
When the electricity goes out completely, UPS systems provide backup power in those crucial moments before your generator kicks in. If your equipment isn’t protected in those few minutes beforehand, it can be costly to your organization, causing you to lose time, money and vital information. UPS systems allow you the valuable time necessary to save information and shut down your equipment, or wait until the generator power kicks in. General Contractor
As a general contractor, IBS plays a crucial role on a construction project. We make sure it is properly planned, managed and executed. We ensure the project scope is correctly defined and budgeted. We also identify potential construction challenges and determine priorities.
We involve our subcontractors early in the process to gather input about project details. We ensure the bids reflect a fair market price for the work and that accurate schedules are set.

Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
Service
IBS field service technicians can come to your building to repair and service your pumps and HVAC variable frequency drives (VFD).
Repair
IBS is the premier VFD repair center in the Chicagoland area. Our technicians are manufacturer-trained and ready to repair or refurbish your product with original spare parts and manufacturer test equipment and specifications. You can trust our recommendations.
New VFDs
IBS can replace your VFD with the same model or suggest alternatives. We can offer ideas for reusing existing bypass equipment or reduced voltage starters to save you money. We also do VFD startup and integration with controllers your Building Automation Systems (BAS).
VFD Service Agreements
IBS can visit your site one or more times a year to perform cleaning and other maintenance on your VFDs This is particularly useful for larger drives that would be difficult and expensive to replace. It is a good value even for smaller drives because it allows you to get the full life expectancy out of the drive and avoid unexpected VFD failures.

We service, repair and supply quality drives by ABB, Weg, Danfoss, Yaskawa, Toshiba, Allen Bradley and many more.
